Into the Abyss...

So I mention this in case family or friends start to worry where I've gone and what in the world can have happened to me... I'm about to start watching Supernatural.

I consider myself an Olympic-level scaredy-cat, so this endeavour will most certainly involve a degree of watching through my own fingers from behind the couch. But given the extent of my obsession with Doctor Who and Sherlock, considering the fact that I cut my fangirling teeth on the original run of Buffy the Vampire Slayer, I've kind of reached the point where I'm forced to admit that I was always going to wind up here. Best to go boldly. I hear there might be pie.

  1. Yes, ma'am, there surely is pie! Beefcake, too. (Did I say that?? We're there for the story, not the hunk factor, right?) Hope you enjoy! A friend of mine introduced me to Supernatural this summer. Is it Buffy/DW/Sherlock quality? Nope. A rockin' good time? Yep!

Don't be afraid. I am not a fan of gore. For instance, I can't get into American Horror Story. Yes, there's some, but not a lot, especially in the first seasons. I admit, I might not have stayed with it had Sarah not pushed. "Just keep watching," she said. You'll like it... I promise.". Loved the soundtrack, the humor kept me watching and before long, I couldn't wait to find out what happened. Burned through 7 seasons in a couple of months. DVRed Season 9 so I could watch 8 when they released it this fall.

Have been enjoying "Did my Nails." I pretty much lurk silently there! :-D Loved the Disneyland balloons! Will try that for my FL visit in February.

    1. Thanks so much! Those balloons were especially fun to do--and they got some great looks and compliments from the employees (sorry, cast members!) there too, which gave Husband a big head, since they were his idea. ;o)

Aaugh, I'm trying so hard not to devour all of Supernatural! Pacing myself, pacing myself...but I know it's just a matter of time before I've built myself a fort on the couch and give up luxuries like sleep and bathroom breaks. Totally agree it's no BtVS or Sherlock, but something about the brothers is just so compelling! I mean, beyond the hotness... 'cause there's definitely hotness. But the humour and their relationship has totally pulled me in.
